Say Hello to My Little Friend – SEO Keywords

Our little friend we like to call “keywords”

Keywords should be one of the first things you take into account in the pre-launch stage of your company. Your keywords should be everywhere: in your content, hashtags, html, website, etc. Pick easy keywords that people are likely to search for, but don’t be too vague.

You don’t want your service or product to be lost amongst similar companies by using the same keywords as your competitors on every platform you’re using. For example, we have our own hashtag we use for our Instagram pictures, #seeLNC. No other company uses this hashtag, so we have something about us that is different from competitors. But on other platforms, we still use similar keywords as other video production companies to stay in the game. Frenemies – Competitor SEO Research

Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer

Make the competition your secret weapon to revising your SEO and advertising tactics. Observe what others are doing. If you’re not playing monkey see, monkey do, you better hop on that horse (…or monkey).

Consider your largest competition: the companies that are actually successful in your market. Resemble them in your SEO while continuing to let your unique qualities shine. Find what customers like about them, and put your own spin on that.

Quantity or Quality?

Why not both?

When it comes to content, you want to have as much of it as you can. But, if it’s not high quality it won’t give off a professional vibe. Quality content makes for great Instagram posts and #hashtag opportunities. Remember, hashtags increase SEO too! The more content you’re posting on social media outlets and your website, the more your SEO is going to benefit you.

You also want as many links from other pages linking to your main webpage as possible, especially on the social media platforms you’re using. Your html code and website content are SEO factors that you can control the most, so you need to be sending users to your site at every opportunity you can.
