GOAL NetApp commissioned LNC Productions to create a series of accessible, easy to understand explainer videos centered around interviews with a NetApp engineer. Each video would focus on an area in which NetApp helps its clients. Challenge Our challenge was to create a compelling and engaging series of videos relying entirely on interviews. Our Approach To translate the complex, technological subject matter into simple, understandable content, we chose to conduct the interviews with broad questions, rather than specific and focused ones. This allowed the engineer to speak on a more conceptual, zoomed-out level, making the access point easier for the average viewer. We chose a white studio with minimal set design in order to keep the audience’s focus on the interviewee and what she was saying as much as possible. Additionally, we chose to roll the camera between takes longer than we normally would, in order to capture outtakes and small, authentic moments in the studio to lend a personal touch to the final product.
